CAREERworks Career & Technical Education Programs

CAREERworks is a non-profit that helps people launch and grow their careers by investing in IT training and career pathways. You can earn industry-recognized certifications from CompTIA at no cost to you! This initiative is fully-funded through a workforce development grant by the Department of Labor. 

Whether you’re new to the field or looking to add certifications to your resume, we’re here to support your journey.

CAREERworks Cybersecurity Program:

You’ll get over $1,500 worth of CompTIA training materials all for free. But that’s just the start.

• Certifications Available: CompTIA A+, Sec+, CySA+ and more
• Comprehensive 10-12 week training including expert instructors, paid study materials, in-person labs and exam fees
• Individualized Job readiness training with our Workforce Development Team including resume writing, mock interviews, career workshops, networking opportunities, and job placement assistance to help you launch your IT career
• Paid and unpaid internship opportunities to receive hands-on experience with our community partners 

Program Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be unemployed, underemployed, veteran OR employed full-time in an IT specific role
• Must be 18 or older with high school diploma
• Legal Right to Work in the U.S. 
• No Criminal Background

CAREERworks Apprenticeship and Pre-Apprenticeship Programs: 

CAREERworks is registered with the Department of Labor and California Division of Apprenticeship Standards to host apprenticeships for Computer Support Specialists and Cybersecurity Analysts. You’ll get over $1,500 worth of CompTIA training materials all for free. But that’s just the start.

Applications are currently closed for our apprenticeships, unless you already have an employer placement.
